Offices are evolving from "places" to "tools."

2017. We at Mitsui Fudosan started up Work Styling as a place to make new work styles ideal for business persons belonging to organizations a reality.
Work Styling no longer seeks to provide "places," but rather completely new "tools" to freely control people, things, and circumstances in order to achieve work styles that raise productivity desired by companies and individuals.

Can "subtraction" raise Japan's productivity?

Many companies in Japan are steering toward work style reform in the aim to raise productivity. This brings up a question for us. Does raising productivity mean eliminating waste--in other words, increasing efficiency? Is that the point?

"Multiplication" of people, things, and circumstances generates new value

Work Styling's concept of "the essence of reform of work styles of companies and individuals" is that true productivity does not seek efficiency and streamlining, but rather added value that is born from combining people, things, and circumstances.

We want to combine the 100 different work styles of 100 people to assist business persons in raising productivity. This desire was the motivation for us to build platforms around the country that can be used in 10-minute units starting from 300 yen. Platforms that make it possible to work anytime, anywhere, surrounded by ideal people, things, and circumstances.

We have been fortunate over the past year to gain the support of large numbers of clients and now have employees from over 100 companies using Work Styling and total usage time of over 100,000 hours.

As a venue for work style reform

In day by day use of Work Styling by employees of member companies, we are seeing work styles that we hadn't previously imagined.
For example, use according to type of occupation. Initially, we anticipated that people in sales occupations involving a lot of work outside the company would be central to use of Work Styling, but the percentage of these users is less than 50% of the total. Use is increasing for staff work by persons involved in technical work and planning, human resources, and administration.
And the No.1 objective of groups of several persons who come to Work Styling is brain storming. As results show, we see that it is not so much time efficiency but meetings and work with highly added value that are an important objective for many users.

Work Styling
moves to the next stage

"We want to dispatch employees to a remote location to start up a satellite business. We're looking for a space that can be used in the same way as the company office for a certain period of time by employees involved in new business development." We hear this from a growing number of corporate clients. Before implementing work style reform, companies are looking for versatile spaces that can be used flexibly to accommodate the dizzying pace of changes in management environments and diverse business scenes and that are not restricted by purpose, employee numbers, or time.

To answer these needs, Work Styling will continue to develop and expand service grounded in the flexible concept of facilitating work styles with more freedom and control that transcend conventional coworking spaces, shared offices, and rental offices.
